As the New Year approaches, may we learn to focus on God's promises and provisions rather than life's pressures. He will abide and guide forever!  Do you need Someone to dry your tears and wipe away your fears? Jesus said, "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give your rest" (Matt. 11:28). Allow the Lord to calm you today! P Place E Everything A At C Christ's E Eternal Throne To glorify God is our chief end. May we rejoice in all that He sends!  A quote from: "Be Anxious For Nothing: Finding Hope In A Hectic World" In essence we say, "God, here is my husband, my child, my boss, my job, my bank account, my friend, my enemy, my problem. Here are the particular concerns and worries as I see them. Now I thank you because I know you see them differently. I give this situation to you because you are my Father who loves me so much that the hairs of my head are numbered. If you saved me, surely you can keep me by removing this mountain or carrying me over it."  As we consider our world situation today, it is easy to become discouraged and depressed. Does the LORD have an answer? Or course. He is still sovereign over all. We must never forget John 16:33 when He said, "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." (NIV)   Feeling discouraged the other day, I turned on the computer and, somehow, the curser appeared stuck on my antivirus announcement: "You are protected." Moments later I read a Facebook entry. It was simply lines from this hymn: "Because he lives, I can face tomorrow. Because He lives, all fear is gone. Because I know HE HOLDS the future, and life is worth the living just because HE lives!"
God does work in mysterious ways!  As sure as a song to soothe the soul
As sure as God's grace that never grows old As sure as the dawn or the ocean waves Jesus is LORD and Jesus saves! |
